Artist statement
Art for me is a way to speak a language that cannot be expressed in words. In my work, I explore the connection between time, space, and memory, addressing themes that are universal yet deeply personal. London is not just the city where I was born; it's a boundless source of inspiration: its architecture, street noise, the aroma of coffee and rain intertwine in my canvases, creating multi-layered narratives about the spirit of place.
I've always been fascinated by the delicate boundary between the real and the imagined. By using mixed techniques, I seek new ways to capture light, texture, and movement. For me, it's crucial to create works that not only observe but evoke emotions, resonating with the viewer's inner world and prompting a dialogue with oneself.
My series "Melodies of the Old City" attempts to capture the unseen: the pulsating energy of the streets, the sense of history we intuitively feel, and those moments of silence that often go unnoticed. In my work, I strive to achieve harmony amidst chaos and structure, revealing that beauty is often hidden in random details.
